ILC 150th

Immanuel Lutheran Church of Plainview, Minnesota will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2025! 

SAVE THE DATE: The celebration of the 150th anniversary will take place July 27, 2025.


Photo Directory sign up! Photos will be taken by Universal Church Directories (UCD) on October 3, 4, and 5. Beat the rush and sign up online! Or look for Sunday morning signup helpers beginning mid-July to mid-August (or until all slots are filled). You can also submit your own family photo apart from the UCD photography. A planning committee has been formed and led by Mr. Ben Neumann. Committee members are Linda Zabel, Mark Bartsh, Jean Wingert, Lisa Hoekstra, Randy & Bonnie Boettcher, and Pastor Augustine. Other volunteers are welcome at any time!

Things in progress:

  • Logo/banner design 
    • The committee is evaluating over 20 submitted designs! What wonderful talent we have among us!
  • Planning timeline
  • New photo directory of congregational members 
    • Look for more information on this soon! Pictures will be taken professionally in early October. Greg & Becky Gilbertson have taken up the project to organize it with Universal Church Directories.
  • Discussion and planning of activities and events for the day or weekend
  • Additional fundraisers to cover advertising and guest speaker costs
    • Pancake brunch after church on June 30
    • Possible fish fry or pork chop dinner this fall
  • Consulting with special guest speakers
    • We have a verbal commitment from Rev. Dr. Dale Meyer, former President of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and Lutheran Hour speaker!
