The Divine Service for the Tenth Sunday after Pentecost (August 6, 2023)

We also celebrate the Rite of Holy Baptism at the beginning of the service.

“Compassion in Desolate Places” – Matthew 14:13-21

The feeding of the 5,000 is more than just a miracle of Jesus to prove that He is true God. It shows us that wherever the children of God find themselves, God is there in Christ with compassionate care of body and soul, even in desolate places.
