The Divine Service for the Second Sunday in Advent (December 4, 2022).

“Preparing the Path of Christ” – Matthew 3:1-12

John the Baptist came to prepare the way for the Lord. It was his faithfulness to the Lord that allowed many to be ready for Jesus through his preaching of repentance, faith, and bearing fruit. Through the same preaching and teaching of God’s Word, the Church is also equipped with the Gospel to continue preparing the world for the second coming of Christ.
