The Divine Service for the Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost (September 18, 2022)

“The Merciful Master” – Luke 16:1-15

Jesus continues teaching His disciples with the parable of the dishonest manager. It is a contrast of mankind’s shrewdness in dealing with one another (I did something for you, now you do something for me) with the unsearchable depths of mercy that God, our true Master, has for us when our bill of sin is due. There is no bartering; only mercy. May we love and trust that Jesus has paid our bill in full!
