Good Friday stands at the heart and center of the three holy days even as Christ’s death on the cross stands at the heart and center of the Christian faith and life. The service of this day is marked by the Church’s deepest humility and most solemn reverence, for she gives her attention to the cross and Passion of her dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are driven to the cross and confronted with its gruesomeness as what God must do to pay for our crimes.

Service note: Pastor will sing the hymns as printed in the service bulletin. The hymns of the Church teach and proclaim the faith, even the dark moments of our Lord’s suffering and death that pays the debt owed to God for our sins.
