Our School Hot Lunch Program Needs the following items: ketchup, grape jelly, butter, corn starch, Crisco shortening, marshmallows, Rice Krispies, Thousand Island & Ranch dressing (low fat), potatoes, bleach, vinegar, fresh vegetables and fruit or food gift cards to Lanning's Food Center or Wescott's Orchard.
Secret Angels will be needed to assist parents with their childrens' tuition at our Christian day school. If you are able to help, contact the school office (507-534-2108)
Chemo Caps have been made by the Social Concerns Committee of the ILCW. If you know someone who is in need of one, contact Delores (507-534-2276) or Linda (507-876-3030).
Purchases you already make can benefit our school when you use Immanuel P.T.L.'s scrip cards (pre-paid shopping cards). Varying amounts from many different merchants are available, including American Eagle, Barnes & Noble, Fleet Farm, Claires, Gap, Kmart & Macy's, just to name a few. $10 - $100 denominations are available. Scholarship Fund - The Board of Christian Education has established a scholarship fund to help individuals attend area LCMS schools. The Board is currently seeking contributions that may also be matched by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. The initial goal is $5000. Contact the Church office for more details.
A Care Card Rack , sponsored by Immanuel's senior citizens, offers care cards on various topics such as anxiety, suffering, stress, sympathy, get-well, etc. Please help yourself.
Action Volunteers of Wabasha County provides aid the elderly or those in difficult life circumstances. Put your faith into action to provide services such as transportation, shopping, chores, home repairs, visiting, care givers, Medicare insurance counseling. Elder Network is seeking volunteers for its Peer Support Program. Contact Paula 651-565-3237 for more information.
Youthlink - Mentorship is a Wabasha County program where adult volunteers/mentors spend 1-2 hours per week with youth ages 8-17. Currently there are many kids who need mentors. For more info., call Jessica, Program Coordinator (651-565-5171)
